Must-Have : Teamwork approach to patient care

Must-Have : Focus on patient safety

Description :

RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite.

Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly result in a cancel and DNR.

Must have a teamwork approach and meet behavioral expectations in all interactions with patients and staff.

Candidate must be comfortable floating within the hospital or to nearby affiliates.

Candidates may float to other units based on their skill sets and hospital census.

Must adhere to the call-off policy; this is strongly enforced.

Candidates are expected to report to work during catastrophic events or disasters.

Weekend shifts include 5-6 shifts every other weekend.

Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.

No RTO is allowed during the first week of a traveler's assignment.

Candidate must pass EKG testing prior to start for this specialty.

RTO is auto-approved for 7 days or less, as long as it does not fall on a holiday.

Candidates must work a Storm Team and / or Hurricane Team as assigned.

There is a focus on general medicine with an emphasis on neuro diagnoses.

Patient ratio is typically 1 : 6.

Interdisciplinary support includes various specialized teams.

Experience or willingness to learn the charge nurse role is preferred.

Candidates must complete any required testing within a specified timeframe.

References from managers or supervisors within the past 12 months are highly preferred.
