Import Export Compliance Specialist

Owen Daniels is currently partnered with a world leader in aerospace technology. They are a global brand who covers the full lifecycle of aircraft components, including design, manufacturing, and min-service support. They are currently seeking a Import Export Compliance Specialist for their Irvine facility to meet their import / export requirements and ensure a high level of customer service.

Key Duties / Responsibilities

• Operationally responsible for import / export classification, clearance, and instructions, including correct customs treatment
• Ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory industry requirements, e.g., ITAR, CTPAT, EAR
• Strategic input on on-site and group processes around import / export compliance
• Develop and monitor trade compliance metrics / performance
• Internal audits of import / export processes and customs entries
• Working with engineering and procurement on new product coding
• Accurate record-keeping and filing of applicable transactions
• Conduct internal training on industry regulations
