CFCE Early Learning spec (SPANISH Bi-Lingual) Amherst, MA

The Collaborative for Educational Services is currently seeking a Coordinated Family and Community Engagement (CFCE) Bilingual Early Educator to provide developmentally appropriate, early learning and early literacy rich experiences, including playgroups for young children (ages 0-5) in the Amherst community. Their role is to enhance and foster positive relationships between parents and their children who speak primarily Spanish, and to collaborate with various community partners. Responsibilities also include providing community outreach and providing families with resources and information on early learning and development, parenting and on local community resources.

We are passionate about building resilience for children and families, and support early educators in this pursuit.

You have the ability to work well with children, parents, caregivers, schools and community resources

• You can effectively communicate with a broad spectrum of individuals, collaborate with various community groups, mediate conflicts and involve a diverse group of individuals in programming are essential
• You have experience in early childhood education; early literacy skill development, parent engagement and parent education to provide engaging, developmentally appropriate and literacy rich parent / child playgroups.
• You are able to travel and work a flexible schedule that includes evening and weekend events
• You have proficient technology skills, and strong oral and written skills
• You are bilingual : English / Spanish
