Position Overview :
We are seeking a skilled and dependable HVAC Technician to join our dynamic service team. In this role, you will be the backbone of our operations, performing critical preventive maintenance, expert repairs, and professional installations on a wide variety of HVAC systems. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver who takes pride in their work and is dedicated to ensuring optimal system performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities :
Preventive Maintenance & Service :
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on a diverse range of HVAC equipment, with a special emphasis on commercial chillers, cooling towers, and associated components.
- Conduct thorough inspections, cleaning, and adjustments to ensure systems operate at peak efficiency and prevent future breakdowns.
- Diagnose and perform service repairs on HVAC equipment including rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, heat pumps, air handlers, furnaces, and building automation system (BAS) controls.
- Accurately identify electrical and mechanical faults using schematics, meters, and diagnostic tools.
Installation & Replacement :
Assist with and / or lead the installation of new HVAC equipment, including chillers, air conditioning systems, and ventilation units, according to manufacturer specifications and company standards.Perform component replacements such as compressors, motors, fans, and control boards.General Duties :
Complete detailed and accurate service reports, maintenance checklists, and time logs for every job.Communicate effectively with customers, explaining issues and recommendations in a clear and professional manner.Maintain a clean and organized service vehicle and ensure it is properly stocked with parts and tools.Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as local and national codes.Qualifications & Requirements :
Required : High School Diploma or GED.Required : 3+ years of hands-on experience in HVAC service, maintenance, and installation.Required : Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.Strongly Preferred : EPA Universal Certification for handling refrigerants.Proven experience with chiller maintenance and service is a significant advantage.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and HVAC diagnostic equipment.Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and time-management skills.Must be physically able to lift heavy equipment (50+ lbs), work in extreme temperatures, and climb ladders.Company Description
