Summary

BVS, a Reggio-inspired Early Enrichment Center, is looking for a supportive teacher to join our team. Our program values the natural world, so candidates can expect to enjoy outside time, natural items within the classroom, and a home-like feeling to our center.

Our programs run from 7 : 00 am-4 : 30 pm. We are looking for someone to help foster a child-centered curriculum, model appropriate interactions and caring relationships, and support children in growing and thriving. The ideal candidate will be interested in child development and be able to become Lead Teacher qualified according to NH Child Care Licensing Standards. They should also respect and understand that families play a critical role in our program and value a nature-inspired philosophy.

Our Early Education Support Teacher will work with the team and the Director by helping to create a caring and safe environment for the children assisting in activities to improve the overall care and quality of education, and helping the team in implementing a quality educational program and developing positive relationships with the children and their parents, observing and documenting children's interests and progress, and relaying that information to parents and staff.

Duties

• Assist in implementing curriculum activities and encourage children's participation.
• Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, order, and availability of classroom materials.
• Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling.
• Help ensure a smooth, daily transition from home to child care center.
• Follow all center policies and state regulations.
• Maintain a personal, professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
