Role Overview

The Manager, TFE & Tooling Design, will be responsible for designing test facility equipment and assembly tooling while leading a group of designers toward that common goal.

What You'll Do

• Maintain and oversee the integrity of assembly-level models for test cells and facility integration.
• Act as the technical owner for all mechanical aspects of a test asset being integrated into a test facility.
• Develop and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) for test enabling hardware as well as assembly tooling.
• Provide final approval on hardware drawings for manufacturing, ensuring they meet fit, form, and function requirements.
• Help establish and uphold company-wide design standards and best practices.
• Work closely with engineers to design, analyze, and evaluate components and assemblies using sound engineering principles and industry standards.
• Conduct quality checks to eliminate interferences and ensure interface requirements are met.
• Ensure drawings and models align with industry standards for configuration management.
• Ensure compliance with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Participate in design reviews and work closely with Engine Design, System, Assembly and Test Teams.
• Communicate significant issues or developments promptly to stakeholders.
• Participate in research and development of additive design technologies and methodologies.
• Provide guidance on improving product designs through additive manufacturing techniques.
• Ensure proper documentation of technical data generated, adhering to engineering best practices.

Pay Range

Pay Range : $155,943 - $218,385 per year (USD).
