The Brooklyn Park Police Department is hiring lateral police officers with at least one year of full-time, licensed law enforcement experience. Field training is condensed based on prior experience. Officers serve a diverse, supportive community alongside a team of 109 sworn professionals committed to service, justice, and courage. Lateral officers receive front-loaded vacation and sick time, access to on-duty workout facilities, and are eligible for specialized assignments such as SWAT, K9, investigations, and community outreach after completing field training.
