Mechanical Power Design Engineer II

Overview

Mechanical Power Design Engineer II role at Industrial Electric Mfg. (IEM). The Mechanical Design Engineer II supports the design-to-order (DTO) engineering process for IEM's medium voltage power distribution products. This role involves extensive 3D modeling and 2D drafting, creating and maintaining BOMs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project specifications and timelines. The Mechanical Design Engineer II builds on foundational engineering skills to contribute to project success while developing expertise in DTO project cycles, designing for manufacturability, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing and customizing mechanical solutions to meet client-specific requirements, focusing on manufacturability and compliance with industry and internal standards.
• Creating 3D models and 2D drawings, including client coordination drawings and fabrication documentation.
• Creating and maintain BOMs for standard product line assemblies and DTO project workflow.
• Supporting collaboration with clients, project managers, and internal teams to ensure designs are aligned with project goals and timelines.
• Providing technical support during manufacturing and installation phases to ensure seamless project execution.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $82,560 - $96,000 per year, based on location, experience, and qualifications.
