We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will support attorneys in various legal matters, ensuring efficient operations within the office. This role requires strong skills in data entry, document management, and familiarity with legal research tools. The Legal Assistant will play a crucial role in maintaining client files, preparing legal documents, and assisting with case management.
- Duties
- Scheduling of client meetings and court appearances.
- Drafting of attorney reviewed legal documents and correspondence.
- Coordinate state / county filings and recordings of legal documents and track receipts.
- Providing general administrative assistance to supervising attorneys.
- Effectively utilizes the firm’s document storage programs to maintain complete and accurate files, including the tracking of deadlines.
- Requirements
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, Outlook with the ability to learn a practice management system.
- Notary Public a plus
