The Systems Administrator is responsible and accountable for :
- Network Administration : Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and WAPs.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize network configurations for efficiency and security.
- Manage VPNs and remote access solutions to ensure secure connectivity for users.
Windows Server Management :
Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server operating systems, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.Implement and manage server virtualization using technologies such as Hyper-V or VMware.Ensure system security through regular patching, updates, and compliance with best practices.Support and Troubleshooting :
Provide Tier 2 / 3 support for network and server related issues, diagnosing problems and implementing solutions.Support branch offices remotely and provide on-site support as needed during travel.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical challenges.Develop and maintain documentation for network configurations, server setups, and procedures.Backup and Disaster Recovery :
Implement and manage backup solutions for servers and critical data.Develop and test disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.Security and Compliance :
Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to protect organizational data and infrastructure.Stay up to date with industry trends, vulnerabilities, and best practices in networking and server management.Essential Functions and Skills :

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Proven experience as a Systems Administrator with a focus on Enterprise Networking and Windows Server environments.Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP / IP, DNS, SHCP, VPS) and security principles.Proficiency in Windows Server administration and Active Directory management.Experience with virtualization technologies (Hyper-V) is required.Familiarity with technology vendors such as SonicWall, Dell, and Microsoft 365 is required.Relevant certifications such as MS Certified, CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, etc are preferred.Ability to travel primarily within the Midwest to support branch offices.
