Associate Director, Business Systems

In this hybrid role the Associate Director, Business Systems will be a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for overseeing two critical teams : Salesforce Center of Excellence (CRM, Commerce, Customer Portal) and ERP Center of Excellence (Order to Cash Functions) teams. This role ensures effective and consistent operation, support, and continuous improvement of core business systems, enabling the organization to achieve its operational and strategic goals. The Associate Director will drive system optimization, integration, and data management initiatives while fostering a collaborative, high-performance team environment. This position is also responsible for aligning intake and prioritization processes for business system enhancements and support, and for partnering with peers across the enterprise to ensure business system needs are captured and met.
Leadership & Strategy
Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to the Salesforce CoE and ERP CoE teams.
Develop and execute strategies for business systems that align with organizational objectives and digital transformation goals.
Serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor to senior leadership on best practices, and emerging technologies.
Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement within the teams.
Team Management
Oversee recruitment, training, performance management, and professional development for team members.
Set clear objectives, monitor progress, and ensure high levels of team engagement and productivity.
Promote cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing among teams.
Systems Support & Optimization
Ensure the reliable operation, support, and maintenance of Salesforce and Epicor ERP platforms.
Oversee the resolution of escalated system issues, ensuring timely and effective problem-solving.
Drive system enhancements, upgrades, and process improvements to maximize business value.
Ensure appropriate business system and business process training is developed and available for business system consumers.
Intake and Prioritization Alignment
Develop, implement, and continuously improve intake and prioritization processes for business system requests, enhancements, and support.
Ensure transparent, consistent, and objective evaluation of incoming requests, balancing business needs, resource capacity, and strategic priorities.
Regularly review and adjust prioritization criteria in collaboration with business and IT leadership.
Enterprise Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement
Proactively partner with peers and leaders across the enterprise to understand, capture, and prioritize business system needs.
Facilitate regular communication and collaboration with business units to ensure system solutions align with evolving business requirements.
Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring expectations are managed and deliverables are met.
Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders and executive leadership.
Project & Change Management
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of business systems projects, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Lead change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new systems, features, and processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
8+ years of experience in business systems management, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role.
Proven experience with Salesforce and Epicor ERP platforms.
Strong background in data architecture, integration, and governance.
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing technical teams.
Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience with ITIL, Agile, or other relevant methodologies is a plus.
