Our client is the world aerospace leader in dedicated lean-cell manufacturing. They are a privately held company with a 50+ history in aerospace manufacturing specializing in complex, high-tolerance, difficult-to-machine parts.
They are looking for an Assembly Technician Level 1. In this role, you will work from diagrams and drawings, make initial layouts, and use hand and / or power tools.
Additionally, Assembly Technicians will disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.

Location : Chatsworth, CA
Salary : $18.00-21.00 / hr (DOE)
Schedule : Mon-Fri 6 AM - 2.30 PM with regular overtime

Responsibilities :
- Using hand and power tools, assemble a variety of parts, sub-assemblies, or complete units to specified tolerances.
- Inserting Heli coils.
- Inserting bushings, bearings, and pins using Arbor press
- Touch up paint, apply epoxy coatings and sealants.
- Marking parts with engravers, vibro-peen, chem-etch, or laser.
- Production testing using hydraulic and other test methods.
- Follow written instructions, drawings, and blueprints.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
- Perform all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures.
- Ensure proper documentation is entered on manufacturing planning (including correct quantities) and paperless timecard system.
- Completes all daily record keeping, part count and part traceability with consistent accuracy. Requirements :
- Team player with a can-do attitude.
- Mechanically inclined, with good manual dexterity.
- Communicates well verbally and in writing.
- Strong skills and aptitude in shop mathematics.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Candidates must be ITAR compliant (USA citizen or Green Card Holders)
- Preferred : Have working knowledge of hand tools, arbor and hydraulic presses, torque wrench, engravers, vibropeen, etc.
- Preferred : Experience inserting Heli coils using manual and pneumatic tools.
- Preferred : Experience with inspection tools (calipers, Micrometers, pin gages) and inspecting to blueprint.
- Preferred : Understanding and ability to follow work instructions and test procedures.
- Preferred : Understanding of assembly skills, including installation processes, tool uses, set up techniques, etc.
- Preferred : Experience with Mechanical Assembly
- Preferred : Has performed production testing using Hydraulic test benches. Benefits (upon hiring) :
