Crusoe Cloud Network Engineering is looking for an ambitious, experienced staff Network Operations Engineer to join the Network Operations team. You will be responsible for the operations of the global Crusoe Cloud Network, ensuring network uptime through monitoring, break-fix for outages, and 24 / 7 on-call coverage. This role offers exposure to edge, backbone, and HPC-based data center networking at a massive scale.
Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize Crusoe Energy Cloud's global network, including edge, backbone, data center, and public cloud connectivity.
- Collaborate with Network Engineering and cross-functional teams (Software Infrastructure, Product) to drive innovation and evolution of the Crusoe Energy Cloud network.
- Lead operational excellence initiatives—develop monitoring, alerting, and self-healing systems to ensure high network availability.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for incidents; guide post-mortem reviews and improvements.
- Mentor network engineers and establish best practices for incident response, documentation, and operational readiness.
- Be part of a 24 / 7 on-call rotation for the Crusoe Network.
You Will Thrive In This Role If :
10+ years of related experience building and operating at scale in a production environment.Deep knowledge of network protocols (TCP / IP, QoS, BGP, OSPF / IS-IS, EVPN, VXLAN) and MPLS-related technologies (RSVP-TE, LDP).Strong understanding of network monitoring protocols and tools (SNMP, IPFIX, sFlow / netflow, Telemetry).Experience with tools such as Kentik, Arbor, ThousandEyes, Catch Point; packet design experience is a plus.Familiar with data center network architectures (Fat Tree, CLOS, BGP-TE) and edge peering.Hands-on experience with network devices (Mellanox, Cisco, Arista, Juniper) and mainstream switch / router chipsets (Broadcom, Barefoot).Familiarity with RDMA, Infiniband, RoCE is a plus.Knowledge of public cloud connectivity options to AWS, GCP, Azure, AliCloud, OCI, etc.Understanding of IPv4 / IPv6 coexistence strategies.Programming or scripting in Python, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or similar languages is a plus.Self-motivated with strong communication and writing skills; team-oriented; able to participate in a global on-call rotation.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent experience (three+ years).Benefits

Compensation will be paid in the range of $181,000 - $219,000. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and market data.
