Position Summary
The Engineer, Product UI Email is responsible for developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and improving user interfaces across digital products, with a specialized focus on email-related UI development. As the primary contact for all email initiatives, this role ensures seamless integration of email components within larger product experiences, aligning with brand standards and optimizing for performance and accessibility.
This position works cross-functionally with design, product, and marketing teams, as well as external partners, to deliver high-quality and engaging email experiences. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can shift priorities as needed, and demonstrates a balance of creativity, technical skill, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and deploy responsive and accessible email templates using HTML and CSS.
- Manage and execute campaigns within platforms such as Braze, Responsys, Dynamic Yield, or similar tools.
- Collaborate with designers and marketers to ensure alignment with brand and campaign objectives.
- Conduct A / B testing and analyze engagement metrics to optimize open, click-through, and conversion rates.
- Troubleshoot rendering issues across email clients and devices to ensure consistent, high-quality display.
- Implement personalization and dynamic content using available platform features.
- Manage audience segmentation and targeting strategies to enhance campaign performance.
- Contribute to an environment focused on engineering best practices and technical innovation.
- Ensure compliance with email marketing regulations, including CAN-SPAM and GDPR.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.3+ years of professional experience in an engineering or front-end development role.Strong proficiency in HTML / CSS for email development; experience with testing tools such as Litmus or Email on Acid preferred.Understanding of software engineering environments, tools, and standards.Ability to travel occasionally (up to 10%).Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available).Must successfully complete background verification requirements.Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with marketing automation tools such as Responsys, Braze, or Dynamic Yield.Experience with A / B testing and data-driven marketing strategies.5+ years of experience in technology-focused roles.Exposure to backend or cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).Regular and reliable attendance.Flexibility to work occasional non-standard hours as business needs arise.Ability to maintain a professional and collaborative demeanor in all work settings.Demonstrated alignment with company values of integrity, collaboration, innovation, and accountability.Hybrid onsite / office environment.Standard office equipment (computer, phone, etc.).Physical Requirements
