What your day looks like
From the first component received to the aircraft’s final handoff, you are the guardian of conformance. You move between stations on the production floor, verifying that every mechanical and structural element aligns with design intent, customer expectations, and certification standards.
Your impact
- Execute comprehensive inspections throughout manufacturing—visual, incoming, first article, and final—to confirm compliance at every stage.
- Capture and maintain inspection evidence in SAP, SAL, and FLEXNET, and compile complete first article reports.
- Support troubleshooting activities, assist with Functional Test Procedures (FTPs), and respond to Quality Survey requests to resolve issues quickly and correctly.
- Record and administer non-conformance findings in NCMS; issue clear quality discrepancy reports to drive corrective action.
- Audit Non-Conformance Rework Orders and verify that all process steps and standards were followed.
- Track and safeguard components throughout the non-conformance workflow to ensure status, traceability, and disposition are controlled.
What you bring
High school diploma or GED.3+ years of aviation quality inspection experience focused on mechanical / structural components.Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems, engineering drawings, inspection plans, and production processes.Proficiency with inspection tools and length-measurement techniques across mechanical, optical, and electrical methods.
