Job Title : Youth Specialist, Middle School Academies
Description : The YMCA is seeking energetic and dedicated child care Youth Specialists to provide direct supervision in a safe, fun and educational environment for all Middle School Academy participants. Our Leaders provide a quality experience to children and parents focused on YMCA core values : honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring. If you have a strong desire to encourage learning, mentor and be a positive role model for children, you may have an opportunity for a rewarding career with the YMCA.
Schedule :
Before-school hours : 7 : 00am - 9 : 30am.
After-school hours : 3 : 30pm - 6 : 00pm.
Flexible schedules may consist of before school, after school, or a combination of both.
Essential Functions :
- Supervises an assigned group of children to ensure safety
- Nurtures children and provides academic growth opportunities that support the school curriculum
- Engages children by facilitating program activities that are designed to enrich their lives
- Establishes a positive rapport with children, parents, and staff while maintaining a positive and professional attitude at all times
