Senior Superintendent
This construction and real estate development firm provides general contracting, construction management, design-build, and related services across multiple sectors, including education, healthcare, and government. Oversee all on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Lead and coordinate field staff, subcontractors, and trade partners throughout all phases of construction. Develop, update, and maintain project schedules, ensuring critical milestones are met. Enforce safety policies and procedures in compliance with company and OSHA standards. Monitor quality control to ensure work meets design specifications and company standards. Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and owners to resolve field issues and maintain effective communication. Manage site logistics, including equipment, material deliveries, and workforce allocation. Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents to guide field operations. Mentor and train superintendents, foremen, and field staff to promote professional growth and consistency. Conduct regular site meetings and prepare daily or weekly progress reports for stakeholders.

A successful Senior Superintendent should have : Education and Training Holds a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or has an equivalent combination of education and experience. Has completed relevant training or certifications in Construction Management, Project Management, Safety, or Communication. Preferably maintains OSHA 30-Hour, First Aid / CPR, and other safety / quality certifications.
Professional Experience Brings 5+ years of commercial construction experience in a leadership role such as Foreman or Superintendent. Has a proven track record managing multiple small projects ($500K-$5M) and larger single projects (up to $40M). Experienced in coordinating large teams of subcontractors and trade partners in complex, schedule-driven environments.
Skills and Competencies Demonstrates strong leadership and planning abilities, with a focus on safety and quality culture. Proficient in construction scheduling, cost control, and job cost accounting practices. Skilled in problem-solving, communication, and conflict resolution, maintaining effective relationships with owners, architects, and contractors. Understands construction methods, materials, and tools across all trade divisions. Organized and able to plan, prioritize, and meet deadlines in fast-paced environments. Displays a collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a passion for partnership and problem-solving. Competent with technology and project management software, including Microsoft Project, Procore, BIM, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
