The Manager- Production is responsible for overseeing the department to ensure the achievement of the established metrics and standards for safety, quality, production, customer service, and people management. The Manager- Production is responsible for developing high-performing teams, leading change and continuous improvement, driving results, inspecting, and building a best-in-class environment. Builds collaborative relationships within and across departments and corporate support. Leads Production Supervisors and may lead other employees. The scope of the role may vary based on various factors (volume, services, number of employees, shifts, and equipment and tools).
Major duties and responsibilities include enforcing safety / compliance policies and procedures, evaluating current and future needs, developing and monitoring strategic plans, leading financial and budget activities, ensuring consistency of practices, policies, and procedures, adjusting production and quality plans, conducting people management responsibilities, addressing complaints and resolving basic employee issues, communicating performance goals / expectations, ensuring adequate distribution of skills, building and developing direct reports, fostering a positive work environment, leading and participating on project teams and business meetings, and partnering with other managers and other departments to achieve results.
Basic qualifications include a bachelor's degree in business or related field or equivalent experience, 5+ years of experience with leading others, 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or related environment, demonstration of skills and abilities in goal setting, accountability, coaching, developing and engaging employees, leading as a change agent, resolving conflicts timely, solving problems by addressing root causes, making effective decisions, managing expenses and budgets, effectively managing time, effectively communicating, collaborating with others to achieve expected results, being self-motivated with a high sense of urgency, resourcefulness, and adaptability, basic computer skills and experience with MS Office, ability to learn other systems, and experience in a very high-volume environment with complex technical processes.
Pay range : hiring rate starting at $85,000; higher with experience. Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and / or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package.
