Job Title : Associate, Warehouse

Reports To : Supervisor, Warehouse

Position Location : Charleston, SC

FLSA Status (Exempt / Non-Exempt) : Non-Exempt

Position Summary :

To perform the duties assigned in the designated area of the warehouse based on training and skill set. Assigned areas are : Receiving, Unloading, Repack, Returns, Stock Put Away, Picking, Packing, International Packing, Shipping, Loading, and any clerical functions as needed.

Key Responsibilities :

• Handles necessary warehouse equipment in assigned area of work
• Must be able to perform at the minimum acceptable performance level for assigned area (95% of set standard or better in assigned area)
• Must be willing to perform multiple functions
• Work in a safe and orderly manner
• Offer suggestions for continuous improvement to supervisor or management
• Maintains department standards for attendance, efficiency, productivity, and quality
• Follows all established safety procedures including wearing required PPE and maintaining 5S standards
• Performs other duties as assigned

Education :

High School diploma or GED from an accredited learning institution, or equivalent work experience

Experience :

0-2 years of prior relevant warehouse experience

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications :

• Must have experience working in an automated warehouse environment preferred
• Previous experience operating forklifts preferred
• Strong math skills
• Ability to read / speak English
• Ability to pay close attention to detail
• Work well within a team and maintain pace while ensuring high quality standards. Assist other team members, as needed, to ensure customer satisfaction
• Practices good housekeeping and keeps inventory neat, clean, and orderly
• Meet and maintain high attendance standards
• Ability to understand LEAN principles to perform job duties for continuous improvement
• Must possess basic keyboarding skills and understanding of Microsoft Office products, and the ability to use email
• Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, efficiently works under pressure, within deadlines or other time essential constraints
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to clearly and concisely communicate to all levels of the organization
• Strong work ethic and an ability to excel within a rapidly changing and growing organization
