Job description

ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit Level II for a travel nursing job in Rochester, New York.

Opportunity : RN - ICU Stepdown

Job Details :

  • Work rotating shift schedule including days, evenings, and nights
  • Weekend and holiday coverage required
  • On-call and callback responsibilities included
  • Charge nurse responsibilities per unit needs
  • Must have stepdown / PCU experience - required
  • High acuity stroke and neurosurgery experience required
  • Experience required with Q1 neuro checks, EVDs, lumbar drains, sub-dural drains, 3%NS and cardene drips, arterial lines
  • Experience with carotid endarterectomy, aneurysm coil / clips, DBS insertion (Deep Brain Stimulator), VP shunts, and seizures
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
  • New York RN license required (NY licenses only accepted)
  • Required certifications : BLS (American Heart Association only), ACLS (American Heart Association only)
  • Telemetry experience required
  • Provide competent care based on established standards under direction of Nurse Manager
  • Assume expanded role including potential charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities
  • Start date : 12 / 15 only
