POSITION OVERVIEW

The Digital Specialist, Marketing will support the digital promotion of the National Park Foundation brand and deliver NPF messaging to a multitude of audiences.

The specialist will work with the Sr. Manager in developing, implementing, and tracking digital campaigns to increase brand awareness, generate engagement and email sign ups, and help enhance digital efforts across the National Park Foundation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / DUTIES / TASKS

Support in executing the online marketing program including digital ads, donated media, and overall digital engagement strategies.

Support the implementation and management of testing new initiatives to improve campaign metrics and performance.

Partner with digital agency on production timelines, copy and graphic review, metrics, and ensuring projects are completed on time and accurately.

Monitor digital KPIs to help track and report on program performance.

Research current news, trends, and industry best practices to inform marketing and creative campaign materials.

Provide administrative support to External Affairs department and Marketing team through processing of agency / contractor contracts and invoices.

Collaborate with the internal philanthropy team for joint paid search, social media advertising, and other coordinated digital tactics.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Must possess the ability to communicate complex information effectively, take a team approach, and initiate work.

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to draft, proofread, and edit compelling ad copy

Keen attention to detail and timelines.

Excellent organizational, time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Must work effectively and collaboratively with a wide range of staff across several departments.

Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite.

Must be familiar (proficiency preferred) with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.

Familiarity with HTML or other coding languages is a plus.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

1-2 years of experience in digital marketing or advertising, or similar role.

Experience within a nonprofit is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits :

This is a 5-year term, paid, full time position. The National Park Foundation offers a competitive salary and benefits program.

Starting compensation for this opportunity is $70,000 and is commensurate with the level of experience of the candidate.

This position is a hybrid and onsite role at NPF’s newly designed headquarters in Washington, DC and will have access to an onsite fitness facility, exciting downtown Washington, DC community and a variety of metro stations.

The position is based in Washington, D.C. and the successful candidate is expected to work in the office no less than two days per week.

Remote work will be considered for this position in the following states : AL, CA, CO, FL, IL, MA, MD, MN, NC, NH, NM, NJ, NY, OH, SC, TN, TX, VA, WA, WI.
