Join to apply for the Coder 2 - Professional Coding Full time role at Concord Hospital Health System
Under the direction of the Coding Manager, the coder codes services assigned, reviews documentation and verifies charges, and is responsible for accurately and efficiently assigning ICD-10 diagnosis codes, CPT and HCPCs procedure codes. Compliance with national coding standards and regulatory agencies is an essential part of the job. Acts with integrity and adheres to the code of conduct and ethics. Maintains open communication with providers to answer documentation and coding questions. Conducts spot audits of documentation and coding, documents results, and provides feedback and education to providers and coding managers. Attends monthly provider meetings and rounds through assigned practices as an avenue to provide further education.
Responsibilities
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Certification, Registration, and Licensure
Experience
At least one year Coding experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
