Job descriptionSupporting medication dispensing and vaccination at Points of Dispensing (PODS) sites and medical shelters Assisting patients with access to prescription medications and providing basic education Performing medication reconciliation, management, and record keeping Preparing, packaging, and labeling prescriptions (Pharmacy Technicians under Pharmacist supervision) Maintaining medication inventory and stock control Collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective medication use Minimum 1 year of experience as a licensed Pharmacist Active, unencumbered Pharmacist license (Louisiana licensure may be required) BLS / CPR certification preferred Strong knowledge of medication therapy management Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills Minimum 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician Active, unencumbered Pharmacy Technician license or certification (Louisiana compliance may be required) BLS / CPR certification preferred Strong skills in medication preparation, handling, and inventory management Effective organizational and multitasking abilities Prior experience in hospital, urgent care, or emergency response environments Training or certification in immunization support or clinical pharmacy (Pharmacist) Familiarity with medication management systems and inventory software Ability to adapt quickly in high-volume, fast-paced settings Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
A leading healthcare staffing group is currently seeking Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians to join its Emergency Response Division in Louisiana . These roles offer the opportunity to support rapid statewide deployments in partnership with the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH).
About the Opportunity :
- Start Timeline : Ability to deploy within 48 hours of notice
- Shift : Day (7 : 00 AM - 7 : 00 PM) or Night (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM)
- Schedule : 12-hour shifts; flexible assignments
- Setting : Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Response
- Deployment Locations : New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Alexandria, Lake Charles, Lafayette, Thibodaux, Hammond, Monroe, Bossier City
