Cost Accountant
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Associate degree in finance or accounting; bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in cost accountant roles, manufacturing environment preferred.
- Bilingual : Spanish required.
- Proficient with accounting software and data collection and analysis tools. (including Excel, Word, and Accounting, Payroll and Time Systems.)
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Analyze operational costs, labor costs, materials, shipping, and production costs.
- Develop cost standards and coordinate inventory activities with management, including analysis, reporting, cycle count, and inventory adjustments.
- Conduct cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis.
- Perform account reconciliations, Prepare audit reports and recommend changes to reduce costs and maximize profit.
- Manage the company’s balance sheet and accounting books.
- Support other accountants with invoicing and capital expenditure.
