ABOUT THE JOB
The role of the Low Voltage Control Technician will be responsible for the following duties :
- Pulling and terminating fiber cable
- Knowledge of low voltage standards
- Ability to read schematics and have knowledge of a system (either it being cam, access control, data drops, WAPS (Wireless Access Points), fiber, intercom, etc.)
- Working on a team with Level lll Technicians
- 98% physical installation of security systems at large municipalities
- Able to work Monday- Friday (some Saturday's)
- Installing, repairing, and troubleshooting security components such as surveillance cameras, motion detectors, door strips / stripes, magnetic locks, etc.
DESIRED EDUCATION :
2-4 years of hands-on-work-related experience in system configuration and support, particularly in design and deploymentAbility to read layout SchematicsGood interpersonal skills are A MUST!Experience pulling and terminating fiber cablesCertifiers Copper and Fiber (OTDR)Physical security industry certifications and training, i.e. ASIS, BICSI, Avigilon, etc. Preferred by NOT REQUIRED
