About the Role :
The Licensing Renewal Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring state compliance with laws, rules, and procedures governing the renewal and reinstatement of insurance licenses for producers (agents / brokers), consultants, and agencies. This role involves managing renewal applications, verifying eligibility, and supporting both internal and external stakeholders across the insurance industry.
Key Responsibilities :
- Review and process license renewal and reinstatement applications for resident and non-resident producers, consultants, and agencies.
- Evaluate background documents (civil, criminal, administrative) and determine eligibility per state regulations.
- Collaborate with IDOI Enforcement Division Vertafore / Sircon NIPR FINRA , and other state agencies to verify applicant records.
- Utilize databases such as MyCase.in.gov NIPR Attachments Warehouse I-Site Sircon for States e-PAL INBiz , and FINRA BrokerCheck
- Process reinstatement waiver forms and guide candidates through reinstatement and examination requirements.
- Maintain and update licensing renewal and reinstatement web pages on in.gov / idoi
- Partner with system vendors to resolve issues, implement improvements, and ensure smooth operation of renewal systems.
- Communicate with internal teams and external stakeholders regarding renewal / reinstatement policies and procedures.
- Support the Education Coordinator in processing Continuing Education (CE) extension and exemption requests.
Qualifications :
- High School Diploma (Required)
- 2+ years of strong customer service experience in a professional environment (Required)
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Teams) (Required)
- Call center experience (Highly Desired)
- Experience in LAH / P&C insurance industry – Life, Accident & Health; Property & Casualty (Highly Desired)
