Job Summary

Mesa Community College World Languages Department is in need of American Sign Language adjunct faculty for the 2024-2025 Academic year and specifically for the following section in the Fall 2024 semester, beginning

August 19 :

ASL102 American Sign Language II : R 5 : 45PM – 8 : 00PM (Hybrid), 8 / 22 / 24 – 12 / 13 / 24

ASL101 American Sign Language I : MW 5 : 45pm - 7 : 30pm (in person), 8 / 19 / 24 - 12 / 13 / 24

Knowledge and experience of online development and delivery needed.

Essential Functions

• Instruct a diverse population of students in classroom and lab settings
• Develop written syllabi / course outlines and course materials; assess student knowledge of subject matter and prepares and grades exams
• Administer exams and provide student feedback
• Maintain current grades within the learning management system Canvas
• Engage in online development and delivery in multiple modalities, including hybrid, online, and in-person
