Responsibilities
Assist lawyers in preparing legal documentation, pleadings, and correspondence including interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavitsAid lawyers in trial preparation by preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, conducting research on legal articles, and assisting with client meetings and filing motionsPerform administrative duties such as answering phone calls and keeping our case filing system organized so all documents are readily accessibleConduct interviews with clients to gather information about their legal issuesDraft subpoenas and coordinate with process serversManage heavy caseloadSupport attorneys in court proceedings and mediationManage case from inception to conclusionConducting legal researchQualifications
3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm settingExcellent organizational skills, and time-management skillsStrong oral and written communication skillsExperience managing a heavy caseloadExperience with using case management and billing systemsProficient with Microsoft Office suitesExperience using technology, software, applicationsExperience researching and pulling case lawCompensation
