DC Materials Handler - OComm

Warehouse Order Picker

Perform picking, processing, and shipping functions to ensure parts are ordered in a timely and efficient manner. Ensure customer service standards and shipping guidelines are upheld while filling customer orders.

Essential Job Functions

• Navigate the computer system to view orders placed through the company website.
• Pull orders when necessary, both quickly and accurately, from the location listed on the tickets.
• Prepare boxes, generate and assess labels, packing list, and customer requirements so that the product is shipped within the time allotted.
• Carefully count and pack the parts error free.
• Maintain a good rapport with other departments in the warehouse so replenishments, staging, or assistance of any kind is available.
• Maintain constant communication with the Operations Manager and City Counter.
• Keep all logs neat and legible.
• Inspect boxes that are torn to ensure the part is in good condition. Re-box or re-label as necessary so we can safely ship out the part and ensure it will not be damaged during transport.
• Follow shipping and packing guidelines per UPS regulations and requirements.
• Maintain safety standards while operating and identify unsafe practices and situations.
• Maintain a clean work area for efficiency as well as any powered equipment that may be utilized to complete job functions.
• All other duties assigned by DC Management Team.
