Maintenance Technician - Samsung Washington DC

Job Description

Job Responsibilities

• Secondary POC to client / site occupants, property manager, sub-contracted services, vendors
• Assist Maintenance Lead in management of direct reports and / or sub-contracted service workers to include / not limited to : maintenance worker(s), day porter(s), A / V tech(s), IT
• Assist Site Lead maintaining overall appearance / operation of facility
• Secondary liaison to building management / security for service calls, systems tests
• Coordinate off-hours utilities
• Oversight of day-time porter responsible for light cleaning
• Complete small / medium scope repair / maintenance in client's premises in accordance with building rules / regulations (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, AV, Signage, IT).
• Coordinate large scope repair / maintenance
• Coordinate post-event site maintenance
• Coordinate vendor access

Control of execution of work, follow-up for quality assurance

Assist with requisition of office / facility supplies supporting operations

• Assist with all Domestic / International, special shipping / receiving needs.
• Support VIP meeting, visit, other requests as directed.
• Support all other ad-hoc requests as directed.
• Assist with the Coordination of Events

Qualifications

• Min. 5 yrs. experience as Maint. Tech., Lead Mech., Maint. Sup., or equivalent
• Interpersonal / communication / customer service skills required
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, technical manuals.
• Demonstrated ability to learn maintenance skills.
• Ability to complete small / medium scope repair / maintenance activities.
• Skills in using predictive maintenance techniques, root cause analysis of equipment failures.
• Ability to gather data, information, prepare reports.
• Ability to provide technical guidance to non-technical / production operators.
• Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Email, Word, Excel)
• Valid Drivers License
• Ability to work second / third shift, holidays, weekends as required.
• Must be able to perform maintenance tasks including : climb ladders, work in confined spaces, stand for extended periods of time, lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs., etc.
