Compensation Guidelines
Upon Graduation
Trooper Trainees are eligible for the following stipends after graduation from the State Police Training Academy :
Certified Police Officers
Certified Police Officers with a minimum of 2 years of experience and no more than a 2-year uninterrupted absence from the profession are compensated at a higher pay rate. They are required to attend and graduate the full Training Academy. Operational needs will determine initial assignment. Troopers may work various shifts throughout their career and are expected to work well independently and in teams.

Selection Plan
The application process includes eight stages : PoliceApp account creation, application submission, CHIP card or physical fitness assessment, written exam, polygraph, background investigation, psychological and medical evaluations, and job offer.

Physical Requirements
Comprehensive medical and physical examinations will be required upon conditional offer of employment. Candidates must have sufficient strength, stamina, agility, endurance, eyesight, and hearing to perform the duties of a State Police Trooper.
