Description

Essential Job Responsibilities : Following are the specific job responsibilities and duties necessary to accomplish the job purpose.

• Verify and document all outgoing shipments.
• Compare identifying information and verify counts, weights, and measurements of goods against bills of lading, invoices, and orders.
• Determine appropriate shipping methods by applying knowledge of procedures, routes, and rates; affix proper shipping labels on packaged goods.
• Assemble shipping containers or select preassembled containers; use spacers, fillers, and protective padding to ensure safe transport.
• Inspect outgoing shipments to confirm compliance with specifications and order requirements.
• Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Accurately pull and pack products based on daily customer orders.
• Ensure customer orders are fulfilled on time and to specification.
• Operate sit-down forklifts and side loaders to safely move, load, and unload materials from delivery trucks to platforms, storage, or work areas.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support receiving operations, such as :
• Unpack and inspect incoming shipments, reject damaged goods, record shortages, and communicate with shippers to resolve discrepancies.
• Route incoming and outgoing items to proper departments or storage areas.
