Job description

Marathon Asset Management is seeking a highly motivated professional to join our team based in New York as a Data Analyst & Portfolio Analytics

This individual will be responsible for integrating, analyzing, and managing investment data and reporting for the Client Solutions Group, collaborating across the firm. The ideal candidate will be a data analytics specialist with a strong data analytics skillset with proficiencies in excel, coding and data integration to support Marathon's leading global credit investment programs.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain robust data integration and ETL processes to streamline production of fundraising, marketing, and due diligence materials.
  • Collaborate with portfolio, risk, and technology teams to standardize and automate investment information exchange across departments.
  • Analyze and report on quantitative and qualitative investment data, including fund performance and portfolio metrics, using advanced analytics and visualization tools.
  • Prepare and enhance data-driven marketing materials, performance commentaries, and responses to investor RFPs, RFIs, and DDQs.
  • Support senior professionals on strategic projects, market research, and continuous improvement of data management practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field with a strong academic record.
  • 2–5 years of experience in investment data analytics, data integration, or a technology / analytics function within investment management, investment banking, investor relations, or financial data services provider.
  • Demonstrated expertise in automating and optimizing data workflows and ETL processes in a financial services environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex data into actionable insights for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying and management required
  • Proficiency in coding languages for data analysis and automation (e.g. Python, R, VBA) highly recommended.
  • Experience with Tableau or Power BI highly recommended.

    • The salary range for this role is $100,000-$130,000 in base pay. Marathon benefit highlights include Medical / Pharmacy, Dental, Vision, HSA, FSA, STD / LTD, Life Insurance, PTO, Commuter Benefits, and company provided lunches.
