PURPOSE :

The primary purpose of this position is to assist Silver State Schools Credit Union to live out its Mission, "Excellent Member Service and Financial Solutions - For Life," by providing outstanding service to both members and internal members.

SUMMARY :

The primary responsibility for a AVP - Member Banking is to, manage, and supervise the Credit Union's portfolio of commercial loans and commercial deposits, with the overall objective of maintaining strong asset quality within the portfolio.

Cultivate strong business banking relationships with new and existing business owners throughout the state of Nevada. Subject matter expert on all member business solutions.

Create a business plan to successfully target businesses within the Credit Union's risk tolerance and appetite.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES :

Responsible for commercial loan processes, approvals, and servicing. Responsible for overseeing the borrower's financial condition and assesses their ability to re-pay the loan.

Oversees the underwriting decisions within approval authority. Completes or directs completion of all loan documents, closes loans, and is responsible for servicing the loans, which includes the annual reviews process.

• Responsible for the deposit relationship products and services, such as online banking, ACH, merchant services
• Participates in developing lending and deposit business for the credit union. Calls on clients to expand existing business, calls on prospects seeking opportunities to expand the Credit Union's member base.
• Maintain and manage the pipeline that leads to measured results.
• Ensure compliance with all Board policies as well State and Federal regulations related to member business lending and deposits.
• Assist in collection of past due loans.
• Monitors existing loan portfolio to maintain a high-quality asset base. Maintains up-to-date client files including balance sheet, profit & loss statement, tax returns, cash flow projections, and all loan documentation.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of the credit union's lending vision and strategy working in a team environment focused on member service and closing quality loans in a timely manner.
• Cross-sells other Credit Union solutions to business banking members.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE :

A Bachelor's degree is preferred with a minimum of five to eight years related experience and / or extensive training in member business lending;

or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS :

Must have or obtain any license, certificates or registration as required by state or federal agencies that are presently required or may be required in the future.
