Performs various professional casework tasks
involving juveniles and adults under Court supervision; does
related work as required.
FEATURES OF THE CLASS :
This position
involves the planning and implementation of the probation / parole
supervision plan for adult and juveniles on court supervision. The
selected candidate will work directly with the offenders supervised
by the department, having a caseload of adult or juvenile offenders
in the Bradford County area. Court reports, such as presentence
investigation reports are prepared as assigned. Guidance and
oversight is provided by the Chief Probation Officer, Assistant
Chief Probation Officer and P.O. Supervisor.

assist the District Attorney’s Office with prosecution;

Must have the ability to record, convey, and present information,

periods of standing, walking, and occasional twisting, reaching,
pulling, and pushing required for obtaining files, doing
requirements range from simple to complex movements of
fingers / hands, legs / feet, or torso to carry out job duties;

spray, baton, and handcuffs.

experience as a professional probation officer and / or graduation
from a college or university of recognized standing with major work
in criminal justice, psychology, sociology, social work or a
related field; or any equivalent combination of experience and
training which provides the required knowledges, skills and
abilities.
