Sr. Principal Linux System Administrators (SME),  internally known as Principal Analyst, infrastructure Workplace Services, collaborate with many teams to support exciting, critical programs with classified information system capabilities. Success in this role means you can develop, implement and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various classified programs. Program teams rely on your collaboration and guidance to define computing requirements and create end-to-end solutions to solve complex IT infrastructure problems.

What You Will Do :

• Serve as a Linux / Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) designing, implementing, troubleshooting, and maintaining physical and virtual Linux servers across a large-scale enterprise network. This includes system hardening, patching, automation with Ansible, provisioning with Kickstart, access control management, lifecycle management with Red Hat Satellite, virtualization with KVM, containerization with Podman or Docker, and hybrid cloud integrations with OpenShift and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with engineers, software developers, systems administrators, storage, networking, and high-performance computing teams to resolve complex infrastructure and integration challenges.
• Partner with cybersecurity teams to ensure continuous compliance with regulatory and security frameworks such as DFARS, RMF, and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
• Provide critical, on-site support for mission systems in a closed DoD area, responding to both planned and emergent tasks, with occasional work outside standard hours and up to 10% travel as required.
• Obtain and maintain DoD 8140 / 8570 certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ or equivalent) within six months of hire.
• Must have a interim clearance to set a start date

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education / training, and key skills.
