The School of Nursing at UT Health San Antonio invites MSN and/or doctoral prepared nurses to apply for adjunct faculty positions in the undergraduate and/or graduate programs. Qualified applicants with clinical experience in Medical-Surgical, Pediatrics, Maternal/Child, Population Health, Psychiatric Mental Health, Critical Care, Informatics and/or Leadership may apply for an academic faculty role with the School of Nursing. Appointments in each specialty content area will be dependent on the current teaching needs of the school.

Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

•Teaching: Delivering courses or specific classes within the SON curriculum.

•Clinical Supervision: Overseeing students during clinical rotations or practicum experience in healthcare settings or the community. This includes providing guidance, feedback and evaluation.

•Collaboration: Collaborating with other faculty members, healthcare professionals, and community partners to enhance the educational experiences for students.

Minimum Qualifications:

•Master’s degree in nursing; doctoral degree is preferred. A doctoral degree is required for graduate teaching.

•Current Texas RN Licensure.

•Recent clinical experience is strongly preferred.

•Excellent organizational, communication, teaching, and clinical decision-making skills.
