Position : Enterprise Architect

The Alabama Medicaid Agency (AMA) is preparing for a major transition from a monolithic system with 14 different business functions to an interoperable, modular system based on a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
Oracle or Orbus iserver experience is a plus
- 8 10 years enterprise architecture experience including EA framework design for at least the components of Business, Technical and Information Architectures, EA modeling, EA tool deployment, and EA configuration and lifecycle management. 3 5 years of experience with large multi-vendor projects or teams 3 5 years of experience working with senior management and key stakeholders Excellent written and verbal communication skills to relate technical concepts to non-technical audiences, and to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts. Extensive knowledge of all MS-Office products with strong MS-Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint skills. Candidates that do not meet the required qualifications will not be considered.
- Serve as the MES technical representative and work closely with AMA support organizations that are responsible for critical
- areas such as operations & infrastructure, security, data
- governance, privacy, and project management to ensure MES
- modules and tools and the MEA comply with agency and
- federal standards. To that end, guide the PMO Contractor's
- efforts to maintain the MES Technical Reference Architecture
- (TRA); and develop technical and EA policies, standards,
- guidelines, procedures and processes for the MES.
- Act as a trusted partner with Contractors and Agency managers
- to ensure project direction, goals and key initiatives achieve
- desired results. Develop key technical and MEA insights and
- metrics, and prepare reports and presentations for senior
- managers and AMMP stakeholders external to the Agency.
- Chair the MES Enterprise Architecture Board (EAB) and the
- Technical Review Board (TRB), establishing working Board
- guidelines, ensuring proper expertise is represented at reviews,
- ensuring transparency of the boards in the MES governance
- process, ensuring timely and accurate communication with
- stakeholders, communicating status to management and
- submitting decisions for publication as needed, and ensuring
- modules and tools align with the appropriate published
- architectural standards.
- Provide in-depth analysis and critical thinking when reviewing
- Contractor MEA artifacts and design documentation to identify
- problems and potential gaps, and make recommendations that
- will meet CMS standards and ensure contract compliance.
- Provide final approval for specific MEA deliverables.
