Design Aqp Engineer
Pridestaff is currently seeking a qualified and motivated Design Aqp Engineer for a manufacturing company located near University Park, IL.
This role will focus on applying Advanced Quality Planning (Aqp) principles to new and existing product designs, ensuring quality, reliability, and manufacturability throughout the product lifecycle. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to drive robust design solutions that meet customer requirements and internal standards. This is a temp-to-hire position, but client will consider direct hire for the right candidate! 1st shift 9am-5pm $85k-$110k per year DOE
Role Responsibilities :
- Lead advanced quality planning activities for new product introductions and design changes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams- including R&D, manufacturing, and quality, to ensure designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and meet quality standards
- Develop and execute design fmea's (failure mode and effects analysis), control plans, and other quality planning tools
- Support design reviews, providing quality risk assessments and recommendations for mitigation
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for design-related quality issues
- Maintain documentation for aqp deliverables in alignment with corporate and customer requirements
- Mentor and train team members on quality planning principles and methodologies
- Ensure compliance with iso, ts, and customer-specific quality standards
Job Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in mechanical, electrical, or manufacturing engineering - or related field3+ years of experience in design engineering, quality engineering, or aqp in a manufacturing environmentStrong understand of advanced product quality planning (apqp), fmea, control plans, and dfmeaExperience with dfmea, pfmea, and risk assessment toolsProficiency in cad software (solidwoks, autocad, or equivalent) preferredExcellent problem-solving skills with focus on quality, cost, and manufacturabilityStrong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across functionsInterested and qualified candidates are encouraged to submit an up-to-date resume today for immediate consideration!
