Job Description
Conditional remote working allowed; travel to Fort Worth for first day / week with reimbursed expenses.
Responsibilities
- Lead software safety engineering across the full development lifecycle, from hazard identification through development to system / software qualification test.
- Analyze and qualify hazards in aircraft and system functional safety assessments (AFHA / SFHAs, PSSA, PRAs, ZSA, CMA).
- Perform MIL?STD?882 hazards analyses (PHA, O&SHA, HHA, SHA / SSHA) and failure modes and effects criticality analyses (FMECA).
- Apply model?based systems engineering (MBSE) and model?based safety analysis (MBSA) techniques.
- Collaborate with cross?functional teams to resolve complex integrated functional system problems.
Qualifications
2+ years in aircraft or system development / sustainment programs with structured safety program processes.Bachelors degree in STEM; advanced degrees considered.Direct experience in SAE ARP?4761 and / or MIL?STD?882 analyses.Familiarity with SAE ARP?4761 / ARP?4754 and MIL?STD?882 safety processes.Experience with DO?178C, MIL?STD?822, AMCOM385?17, Joint Software Safety Engineering Handbook.Strong analytical, problem?solving, and communication skills.Eligible to obtain Secret Security Clearance.Seniority Level
