## The RoleAs a member of the User Experience Research Team, you will contribute to Fidelity’s future growth by understanding people and their needs. Your research will inform and inspire our business and design leaders to improve current offerings and develop new products that help people achieve their financial goals. You will plan and conduct various types of qualitative and quantitative customer research, identify problems from the user’s point of view, develop insights and opportunity areas, and test new ideas for product-market fit. This role requires an experienced individual with proven ability to impact user outcomes and business strategy who will immerse themselves in a product area and drive projects to completion with little oversight. ## ResponsibilitiesAs a Principal UX Researcher, you will : ## Your Expertise & Skills7+ years of proven experience conducting / leading Design Research / User Experience Research efforts. Bachelors and / or Masters in Design, Human Factors, Psychology, and / or related field highly preferredExperience with the Jobs to Be Done framework Ability to recommend appropriate research method & approach, based on objectives and constraintsAbility to rapidly scope, execute, and deliver results with minimal oversightStrong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to rapidly analyze research data and share insights and recommendations succinctly, with a strong point of view and actionable takeawaysExcellent interpersonal skills to influence and build trust with users and stakeholders in product, design, and content- Ability to pivot in a complex environment- Ability to tie research insights and recommendations to business needs and problemsGrowth mindset – a strong desire to learn and improve, willingness and ability to give and receive feedback that improves deliverables and outcomes - Familiarity with analytics and in-market experimentation preferredBusiness expertise : ability to understand business drivers and provide research consultationAbility to challenge traditional assumptions about UX Design and Research – seeking out, inventing, testing and sharing new directions and technologies
