Position description

The Intelligent Decision-Making group at UCI is looking to hire a post-doctoral researcher with expertise in artificial intelligence. Current research directions include :

The candidate is expected to contribute to these efforts, with a Ph.D. required and publications in top AI venues expected. Expertise in heuristic search, symbolic planning, probabilistic reasoning, causal reasoning, or robot coordination is helpful.

Initial appointment is for two years, renewable based on support and need. The start date is negotiable. The position's salary is estimated between $66,737 - $80,034, according to the salary scale.

The total postdoctoral service cannot exceed five years, including service at other institutions. UCI is located in Irvine, Southern California, offering a pleasant climate and cultural opportunities.

Basic qualifications : Doctoral degree (e.g., Ph.D.) or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
