Role Overview

The Learning Experience Design Manager Media leads a team of Learning Experience Designers (LXDs) who specialize in creating compelling, media-rich learning experiences that support UKG's product lines and internal initiatives. This leader drives the creative vision for product learning videos, animation, web, and visual design that supports both customer and internal education initiatives. The role balances creative direction with operational excellence, ensuring that every asset we produce is human-centered, accessible, brand-aligned, and strategically tied to business outcomes. The manager fosters an environment where innovation thrives, storytelling is purposeful, and media elevates learning impact at scale. Additionally, this leader oversees a dynamic post-production service that transforms webinars, training sessions, and SME-created content into high-quality, on-demand learning assets that reach global audiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of LXDs specializing in video, animation, web, and graphic design.
• Set and communicate the creative vision for media learning experiences.
• Partner with business leaders and SMEs to align learning media strategies with organizational goals.
• Oversee the design lifecyclefrom needs analysis and conceptualization to development, implementation, and evaluation.
• Manage and optimize the post-production operation that processes training recordings, webinars, and SME-generated videos.
• Champion accessibility and inclusivity, ensuring all media and web-based learning aligns with UKG's brand, learning, and accessibility standards.
• Drive innovation in media tools and production processes.
• Mentor, coach, and develop design talent through feedback, career guidance, and skill-building opportunities.
• Manage relationships with design and media tool vendors.
• Contribute to the broader learning strategy, representing the voice of media design and visual storytelling.
