Position Overview

We re seeking a Facilities Engineer to support daily operations, maintenance, and improvement of building systems for a large manufacturing site in Rochester, NY. This role is fully onsite during regular daytime hours and offers excellent exposure to mechanical, electrical, and building infrastructure systems. It s ideal for someone looking to deepen their technical and practical experience in facilities management and engineering.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and support the day-to-day operation of facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety infrastructure.

Assist in developing and executing preventive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure system reliability and compliance.

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and coordinate repairs for mechanical, electrical, and building systems issues.

Partner with internal engineering, production, and maintenance teams to improve facility efficiency and sustainability.

Participate in facility and capital improvement projects including upgrades, renovations, and energy optimization initiatives.

Ensure adherence to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company maintenance standards.

Work closely with vendors, service providers, and contractors to schedule maintenance activities and manage project deliverables.

Maintain accurate documentation for maintenance records, inspections, and project updates.

Qualifications

Bachelor s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Facilities Engineering , or a related technical discipline.

2 5+ years of relevant experience in facilities engineering , building maintenance , or industrial operations .

Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a hands-on approach to technical challenges.

Excellent communication, coordination, and time management skills.

Familiarity with maintenance management systems (CMMS) and basic project documentation practices
