Assistant Controller

Our client is a pre-IPO biotech company in South San Francisco that has raised over $300M in financing and has a several drugs in late-stage clinical trials.

This is a newly created Asst. Controller position to support the Corporate Controller build out a best-in class accounting department that is public company ready.

Full ownership of GL close, financial reporting, SOX complaince and audit support.

Requirements :

10+ years of accounting experience

Public company experience from public accounting or industry

Biotech industry experience preferred

2+ years experience managing GL close

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure.

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
