Automation Service Engineer III / IV – Pieper Automation

Pieper Automation is expanding and is looking for an Automation Service Engineer to provide service and support to customers around Columbus, GA. This higher level position requires significant experience in various brands and types of automation hardware and software.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial controls (PLC, HMI, VFD, SCADA) and field service work.
• Minimum experience in industrial electrical field service and advanced knowledge of wiring practices (NEC, UL).
• Minimum of 2 years of vocational or technical training in a related field, preferably construction electrical, industrial electrical, Automation System Technology, or similar.
• Strong commitment to safety, placing safety as a priority above all else.
• Desire to work in a team-based environment and contribute immediately.
• Knowledge and experience with Allen-Bradley or Siemens control systems and other major brands.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to understand the customer's point-of-view.
• Able to communicate effectively and professionally with various levels of personnel including customers, vendors, managers, field and office workers.
