Job Summary And Responsibilities
This position will work in our Jasper, TN office three days a week and our main office two days. Job Summary : Responsible for making patient appointments, rescheduling appointments and no-shows, and answering all incoming scheduling calls from patients, referring physicians, and hospitals. Essential responsibilities include checking patients in at the time of appointment, checking patients out, scheduling and entering imaging and lab orders into EHR, cross covering in all areas of scheduling and at all locations, weekly recall reportcalling the patients, scheduling appointments with physicians or for imaging and lab, and sending reminder cards per guidelines, receiving and completing scheduling tasks within the practice management system, ensuring all physician schedules are filled and scheduled appropriately including making reminder calls to patients, attending staff meetings to ensure an understanding of new processes and discussion opportunities, scheduling appointments with physicians outside practice at the request of clinicians, and proactive participation in ensuring appropriate patient access into the practice.
Job Requirements : Education : High school diploma or equivalent. Qualifications : One or more years in a medical office environment.
