Job descriptionKnowledge of child development (physical, social and emotional) and child behavior management Ability to work flexibly to meet individual / programmatic needs Demonstrate excellence in organizational, communication (verbal and written), supervision, management and leadership skills Prioritize workload independently and appropriately. Exercise sound judgment, critical thinking skills, appropriate personal responsibility, problem-solving, and initiative is required. Knowledge of current community resources for children's needs is preferred. Maintain strict standards of confidentiality and professionalism. Effectively manage priorities and tasks to meet deadlines. Satisfactory results of all background checks, driving records and reference checks. Must possess proof of auto insurance and be able to obtain a Class E driver's license within 30 days of hire.

JOB SUMMARY :
The Program Assistant is a professional staff member of Isabel's House that assists in the oversight and coordination of all aspects of the crisis nursery. This position is responsible for supporting the agency's mission in collaboration with the program management team. This position is supervised by the Program Manager and works independently and collaboratively.
QUALIFICATIONS (PER LICENSING) :
Following Missouri State License requirements, this position requires either :
- Bachelor's Degree and one year of work experience in a residential care agency for children and youth, or
- Two years of college and two years' work experience in a residential care agency for children and youth, or
- High school diploma and three years' work experience in a residential care agency for children and youth.
