Supply Chain Project Manager
Our client, a growing consumer brand, is looking for an Wholesale Project Manager to join their team to ensure flawless execution of special retail projects for wholesale accounts.
Full time direct hire
Hybrid in Santa Ana - two days
Up to $100K depending on experience. Some flexibility up to $110k for the perfect candidate
Core Responsibilities :
Project Management : (60%) Assess existing processes and systems and optimize efficiency, as this is a new role and this person will lead the process.
Plan, execute, and oversee all phases of projects (after project has been approved), including scope definition, timeline management, internal and external resource allocation, risk mitigation, managing communications with all key stakeholders including international factories and team.
Projects will heavily include Merchandiser and Display projects like Tray Displays, Pallet programs, Direct Shipments, and other special projects with retail CPG customers.
Supply Chain / Demand Planning : (40%) Ensure all special retail projects are in alignment with Sales Forecast. Validate new special project items are properly set up in Apprise (ERP System).
Create and place Purchase Orders with overseas vendors for finished goods as well as packaging material suppliers. Coordinate shipments between packaging vendors and manufacturing facilities overseas.
Follow up on PO and shipment status through warehouse delivery or Direct Shipment required ETD. Lead cross-functional meetings to update stakeholders on project status.
- Interdepartmental Lead : Serve as the primary point of contact between all project stakeholders including sales, product development, marketing, international Hong Kong team, compliance, and operations and organize all communications, timelines, and deliverables.
- International Liaison : Will be key contact for all factories on all these special retail projects.
- Quality Assurance : Ensure that imported products or artwork meet the required specifications and expectations before release to customers
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Project Management, or a related field
- PMP certification would be a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience in project management in the Consumer-Packaged Goods industry, preferably in an international supply chain or a production environment.
- Proven experience in handling new product development and VAS projects. Experience with DI (Direct Shipments) would be a plus.
- Ability to engage in multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to bridge the gap between international and domestic teams.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, especially Apprise, is a bonus.
- Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese is advantageous.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
