Provide nursing care to residents as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with standards of nursing practice and regulations and as directed by the Director of Nursing.
Qualifications
Requirements of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) :
Up to date first aid and CPR certification.Licensed Practical / Vocational Nurse with FL state license.Exceptional staff training and customer service skills.Compassionate and friendly demeanor.Excellent technical, assessment, and documentation skills.Effective verbal and written English communication skills.Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentialityAbility to lift fifty (50) or more pounds. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of job.Able to stand and / or walk for more than four (4) hours per day.Able to bend and / or stoop for more than one (1) hour at a time.#PARAMOUNT123Responsibilities
Responsibilities of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) :
Provide personal care (i.e., grooming, bathing, dressing, oral care, etc.) of residents daily and as needed.Provide bedside care. Administer medications and document therapeutic effects.Assist with resident comfort.Prepare and administer injections and / or enemas.Collect samples and monitor catheters.Take TPR (temperature, pulse, & rate), blood pressure, weighing of residents, etc., as directed.Assist in the orientation and training of other staff, as requested.Other special projects and duties, as assigned.
